A Personal Year places one calendar year inside a repeating nine-year cycle. Use it as a planning prompt: a way to ask what deserves emphasis now, not a forecast of what must happen.
Formula
Add every digit and reduce to a number from 1 to 9. This calculator does not preserve 11, 22, or 33 because the Personal Year cycle is read through nine positions.

A Life Path uses the complete birth date and is treated as a long-term theme. A Personal Year combines the birth day and month with one specific year, so it changes through the cycle. One number does not replace the other; they answer different questions.
A Year 8 does not guarantee a promotion, and a Year 9 does not require a relationship to end. Circumstances, choices, and verifiable information matter more than a symbolic interpretation.
